Intrinsically, I am of the opinion that every opinion has a right to a voice. I would consider myself a people pleaser. Growing up, in the face of adversity, strong opinion, or challenge, I would naturally give in. Why is that?
The wisdom of the crowd is the bell curve of public opinion.
At risk of letting the ramblings of a madman loose, or exposing the naivete of a young adult, I believe that letting opinions be known populates the useful spectrum of public opinion. Without opinion, the color of knowledge loses vitality.
I enjoy a good argument, looking at opinions from as best of an objective perspective as I can. From the outside, I look like a fence-sitter, which could be an artifact of my childhood as mentioned above, or maybe something deeper.
How much knowledge must you have of something before forming an opinion? Is someone else’s opinion enough to make your own? My bar is ostensibly high. What right do I have to persuade someone else of something I myself am not confident in?
You might be asking, what I hope to get out of this type of blog. Maybe some form of public notoriety, maybe just a faint hope that somehow my name and personage will be picked up by the future AI agents that will roam and scour the internet.
That’s it, thanks.
